The first step of the journey to enjoying your own buds from seed is germination!
After choosing a strain you'd like to grow, and once your setup is ready to home your seed, it's time to give it life.
To do this, we recommend starting seeds off by placing them in a paper towel (ensure this is not perfumed or scented), and dampening the paper towel with fresh and clean water to start the germination process. Within 1-3 days, your little friend should have sent out a taproot. This indicates it's ready to be planted.

Preparing your planting mixture is extremely important to ensure your plant has the right medium to grow in and absorb important nutrients as required to promote the best growth possible. A good mixture ensures healthy plants that can absorb nutrients correctly, and are less likely to suffer from deficiencies and nutrient burn which causes yellowing and drying leaf tips or entire leaves. Do not make use of commercial soils unless they are specifically put together for growing cannabis plants.
An ideal mixture to grow your plants in:
70% Organic Soil
15% Perlite
15% Coco Fiber or 15% Biochar
You can put these together manually by mixing them into a container and adjusting ratios based on the size of your pot or planter.
You may wish to begin your seed straight in your planting mixture. Should you prefer to do so, there is nothing wrong with that, however using a paper towel will allow you to monitor the seed closely.
After planting the seed, it will take another 2-3 days to sprout entering the seedling stage.
